US News & World Report Recognizes University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center for Best Regional Hospital for Equitable Access
University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is the only Ohio-based hospital to be named to U.S. News & World Report’s inaugural list of Best Regional Hospitals for Equitable Access. Additionally, the academic medical center has again been named by U.S. News & World Report to its Best Hospitals list, an achievement it has made 26 years in a row. In the 2024 – 25 list, it ranked third among all hospitals in Ohio.
US News & World Report - Rainbow Ranked in 10 Specialties
University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital (UH Rainbow) has been recognized as a Best Children’s Hospital for 2023-24 by U.S. News & World Report. UH Rainbow ranks among the nation’s top 50 children’s hospitals in all ten pediatric specialties, eight of which rank in the top 30.
American Hospital Association Names University Hospitals This Year’s Leader in Quality
The American Hospital Association (AHA), the premier national trade association representing more than 5,000 hospitals and health systems, has selected University Hospitals as the 2022 winner of its most prestigious honor: the Quest for Quality Prize. A multidisciplinary committee of healthcare quality and patient safety experts gave UH the award based on the system’s exemplary achievements. Specifically, AHA lauded UH for its maturity and approach to quality, safety and equity. The AHA prize committee believes quality is deeply embedded in UH’s culture – from the board level, to the unit level, and across all sites in the organization.
Fortune Names University Hospitals one of ‘America’s Most Innovative Companies’
According to Fortune, the list recognizes 300 companies transforming industries from the inside out in a variety of ways. Fortune presents this prestigious award with Statista Inc., which is the world-leading statistics portal and industry-ranking provider. “This achievement is a tremendous recognition of our culture that promotes creativity and entrepreneurial spirit while at the same time democratizes excellence,” said Cliff A. Megerian, MD, FACS, Chief Executive Officer and the Jane and Henry Meyer Chief Executive Officer Distinguished Chair at University Hospitals.
